We are looking for a Senior Industry Manager in our Singapore-based Greater China Export Sales Team. This person will oversee an explosive growth opportunity in the Greater China Region with a unique potential for sustained global impact. This role will report directly to the Director of Sales for the Greater China Region.
What you’ll do:
- Lead, coach, and develop a sizable team of Client Account Managers focused on torso export advertisers to deliver against quarterly revenue, retention, and advertiser growth targets for Greater China Region (GCR).
- Own the torso export advertiser book of business for Greater China (excluding top key accounts), ensuring coverage, depth, and scalable service levels.
- Be the expert in Pinterest’s ads solutions for export advertisers, with a strong focus on performance and lower funnel products (e.g., conversions, shopping, feed-based solutions, measurement).
- Define segmentation, tiering, and prioritization frameworks for torso accounts (by revenue potential, growth velocity, vertical, and product fit).
- Develop the medium- and long-term growth strategy for torso, including revenue targets, product mix, and vertical plays.
- Identify whitespace and “emerging key account” opportunities in the torso segment and create clear paths to upgrade them into higher service tiers.
- Build and operationalize data-driven account plans, including clear objectives, tactics, and success metrics at portfolio and account levels.
- Systematize learnings and turn them into reusable playbooks, checklists, and training for the team and broader Greater China org.
- Represent the voice of torso advertisers and the Greater China export market in cross-functional forums and product feedback loops.
- Synthesize market, competitive, and performance insights from torso to influence broader Greater China and global strategies.
- Ensure the torso team operates with high standards on policy, brand safety, and measurement integrity.
- Drive operational excellence: accurate logging, forecasting discipline, CRM hygiene, and adherence to internal processes.
- Create mechanisms to proactively identify and mitigate performance, policy, or operational risks within the torso portfolio.
- Clearly communicate complex AI-generated data and performance insights, transforming them into compelling narratives and actionable strategies for clients.
- Stay ahead of emerging AI and digital marketing trends, advocating for the adoption of new AI tools and practices to drive ongoing client success.
What we’re looking for:
- 12+ years of professional experience in digital media sales, online advertising, or sales leadership.
- Well-acquainted with the export advertising business of the Greater China market; experienced in working with advertisers and agencies in the Greater China area.
- Experience building or scaling a torso portfolio segment between key accounts and scaled business in a tech platform or digital media company.
- Experience with global or multi-region advertisers (e.g., marketplaces, large ecommerce exporters) and complex stakeholder environments.
- A data-driven leader with the ability to lead teams against aggressive goals.
- Demonstrated track record of leading and inspiring others.
- Proven track record of managing and growing a sizable book of business and scaled portfolio of advertisers.
- Experience in process management, operations management, and understanding how to grow and scale businesses.
- Ability to extract insights from data to inform strategic decisions and translate them into action plans.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
- Business proficiency in Mandarin and English is required for business purpose.
- Experience working with Agencies/Resellers is a plus.
- Fluent in Salesforce, Tableau, Excel, and other sales productivity software.
- Talent for translating complex AI-generated data into clear, actionable, and compelling narratives and recommendations tailored for clients.
- Enthusiasm for keeping up with the latest AI and digital marketing trends, with a proactive approach to recommending and implementing innovative AI solutions for ongoing client impact.
- Comfortable with 30% of travel time.
