About the team + role

We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world’s biggest financial problems. We’re looking for bold thinkers. Sharp problem-solvers. Builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn’t a place for complacency, it’s where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We’re a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards.

Robinhood is seeking a Senior Manager to play a leadership role in its Accounts Payable function. This role includes end-to-end ownership of AP operations, with a mandate to advance process maturity, drive automation, and strengthen controls across a Procure-to-Pay (P2P) environment integrated with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The successful candidate will combine strong domain expertise with a strategic and tactical mindset, and will be responsible for developing a high-performing team.

This role is based in our  Chicago, IL, Menlo Park, CA, New York, NY office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams.

What you’ll do

  • Play a leadership role in end-to-end Accounts Payable operations, including daily payment processing, system implementation / upgrades, process improvement, and ongoing optimization across the P2P and ERP environment (Coupa, Oracle).
  • Oversee two-way and three-way PO matching, invoice exception resolution, and vendor discrepancy investigation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of the invoice-to-pay cycle.
  • Identify and lead automation initiatives — including AI and robotics-enabled solutions — to improve efficiency and accuracy within AP workflows.
  • Design and implement logical, well-structured processes with clearly defined roles, responsibilities, and controls.
  • Establish and maintain performance metrics and reporting frameworks to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Independently research, analyze, and resolve non-routine issues, discrepancies, and policy interpretation questions.
  • Oversee specialized payment operations, including non-USD and manual payment processing, Sales & Use Tax and VAT/GST compliance, Form 1099 issuance, and AP-related Treasury support activities.
  • Manage corporate card, travel, and expense reimbursement programs in partnership with Brex, Ramp, and Navan, including policy compliance and reconciliation.
  • Partner with HR/People teams on vendor and payment data managed through Workday.
  • Build and maintain effective cross-functional relationships across Finance, Treasury, and business partners, exercising influence and credibility beyond direct authority.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop AP team members, tailoring management approach to individual skill levels and supporting career growth.
  • Uphold internal controls and approval protocols consistently, including in situations where deviation is requested by senior stakeholders, to safeguard against fraud risk.

What you bring

  • Minimum 7–8 years of core Accounts Payable experience in a comparable business environment, including a P2P system integrated with an ERP platform.
  • Hands-on experience with PO matching (2-way/3-way match), invoice exception handling, and vendor reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated experience leading system implementations, process improvement initiatives, and automation programs.
  • Working knowledge of non-USD and manual payment processing, Sales & Use Tax, VAT/GST, and Form 1099 requirements.
  • Proficiency with P2P, ERP, and corporate spend management tools — direct experience with Coupa, Oracle, Brex, Ramp, Navan, or Workday strongly preferred; ability to apply best practices from comparable systems (e.g., SAP, Concur) also valued.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and reporting acumen.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative and flexible working style.
  • A consistent record of role stability and tenure in prior positions.

What we offer

  • Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career.
  • Performance driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching.
  • Top Tier benefits to fuel your work, including 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents.
  • Access to the Robinhood Employee Fund that gives eligible US employees the opportunity to invest in a private employee fund that provides exposure to Robinhood Ventures funds.
  • Access to the best AI tools on the market and continuous AI skill-building for every employee, technical or not.
  • Lifestyle wallet - a highly flexible benefits spending account for wellness, learning, and more.
  • Employer-paid life & disability insurance, fertility benefits, and mental health benefits.
  • Time off to recharge including company holidays, paid time off, sick time, parental leave, and more!
  • Exceptional office experience with catered meals, events, and comfortable workspaces.

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.
