Lead Analyst, Pricing Operations
Job description
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
About the Team
Anduril's Pricing Operations team sits at the core of driving domestic and international market expansion by building and implementing corporate-wide pricing frameworks. The team partners cross-functionally with Growth, Proposal & Capture, Legal, FP&A, and Program teams to streamline proposal processes while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a deliberate balance of competitiveness, profitability, and revenue growth. As Anduril scales its portfolio, this central team sets the standard that individual business lines execute against.
About the Role
As a Senior Analyst, Pricing Operations, you will partner with Anduril's Product Line leadership — Business Development, Proposal & Capture, Program Management, and FP&A — to execute financial analyses and proposal cost volumes, and to build the models, templates, and processes that business-line pricing teams rely on. Your core focus is corporate pricing operations, but you will flex to support individual business divisions on strategic pursuits as demand requires.
The right person has a deep understanding of cost estimating, pricing strategy, financial modeling, and regulatory compliance, and is energized by a fast-paced environment where you scale frameworks rather than just complete one-off tasks. If you think strategically, move without being told to, and enjoy having your work seen by senior leadership, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
Strategic Proposal Leadership
- Lead and track strategic proposals from opportunity to award — be a stakeholder in proposal kick-offs and review while ensure progress, compliance, and financial alignment with business objectives.
- Prepare timely, high-quality, detailed, and compliant cost and price proposals for federal and commercial solicitations — including U.S. DoD and International customers — across RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Generate submission-ready cost proposal artifacts, ensuring all cost elements are accounted for, assumptions are documented, and necessary cross-referencing is included.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand technical requirements, basis of estimates, risks, and opportunities, and translate them into compliant cost proposals.
- Coordinate with contracts and capture and proposal teams on proposal documents and responses to government requests while adhering to deadlines and submission requirements.
Financial Modeling & Analysis
- Develop comprehensive pricing models, templates, and training utilized by business-line pricing teams, and maintain them for both internal and external use.
- When required, exercise significant autonomy in analyzing statistical and proposal data to develop independent pricing recommendations that support customer negotiations.
- Conduct risk analysis, what-if scenarios, and cost realism assessments to ensure pricing accuracy and executability.
Process, Compliance & Operations
- Continually assess and improve the estimating processes and tools used by the team to maintain efficiency and accuracy, leading process-improvement projects as needed.
- Ensure cost proposals comply with solicitation instructions, government regulations (FAR, DFARS, TINA), and corporate policies, including requirements specific to CPFF, T&M, and FFP contracts.
- Maintain accurate, complete records of pricing templates, proposal files, supporting documentation, and historical data, and keep proposal tracking metrics current.
- Support DCAA and DCMA audit reviews as required, ensuring transparency and adherence to cost estimating policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Engineering, a mathematical field, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of directly related experience in proposal / pricing / cost development, with demonstrated experience developing both government and commercial proposals, and familiarity across CPFF, FFP, and T&M contracts and subcontracts — specifically a strong understanding of how indirect rates and burden costs work in relationship to cost modeling.
- Demonstrated extensive work experience and full understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA).
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and implement financial analysis tools and processes — such as pricing cost models.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas); proficient in Word and PowerPoint.
- Deep hands-on working experience with ProPricer.
- Self-driven and relentlessly proactive. You don't need someone to tell you to “move” — you just move, and you step into the gap to offer solutions yourself.
- Comfortable communicating broadly and having many eyes on your work, including comms to large groups and senior leadership.
- S. Person status is required; must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience contributing to investment strategy and financial management for a business line or division (e.g., investment cases, portfolio prioritization, and business-outcome analysis).
- Experience in Material Estimating, or Defense Contracting Finance.
- Experience in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations finance.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, Oracle, Palantir Foundry) and financial reporting tools.
- Active Secret clearance.
