Role Summary

We are seeking a People Operational Excellence Specialist to evolve and scale how work gets done across People Operations. This role will combine HR operations, process design, digital enablement, and AI, with the expectation of simplifying, standardizing, and scaling People processes so our teams can move faster and with greater impact.

You will support redesigning end-to-end People Operations processes by embedding AI-enabled capabilities and automation. As a critical connector between People and IT, you will translate People needs into platform requirements and help shape how Workday, ServiceNow, and emerging AI solutions work together to support a scalable, data-driven Shared Services model.

Responsibilities

  • Support People Operations by applying AI, workflow automation, and better knowledge management. You will help teams move from manual, reactive work to proactive, strategic impact to improve experience, quality, and capacity.
  • You will connect People Operations and Systems, ensuring that our technology stack (Workday, ServiceNow, Greenhouse, and new AI tools) are
  • Support and document the interdependencies between processes, requirements, teams involved, systems used and impact of changes proposed/implemented.
  • Deep understanding of, and experience in, Workday to provide a consultative experience for the People Operations team
  • Manages the intake of new complex processes and/or process changes and liaises with People Operations Partner as necessary.
  • Uses data to drive decision making for areas of improvement as well as for measuring success.
  • Lead initiatives that optimizes work across People Operations, identifying what should be standardized, centralized, or redesigned.
  • Proactively reviews existing processes, procedures and interdependencies and identifies AI and automation opportunities for proposal, prioritisation and implementation
  • Build strong partnerships with COEs, People Partners, IT, and People Operation to determine where work should live over time; guide transitions, ensuring continuity, quality, readiness, aligning priorities, sequencing, and messaging with strong measurement and feedback loops.
  • Support the evolution of the People Operations Shared Services model.
  • Own end-to-end process improvements across People Operations..
  • Lead change management, communication, and adoption strategies for work transitions, process redesign, and new digital capabilities ensuring processes are clearly documented and accessible for a seamless transition. Establish common standards for process design, documentation, and handoffs in the process.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in People Operations, HR transformation, operational excellence, or related fields within complex, scaling organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading process redesign, work transitions, shared-services enablement, or HR operating model changes.
  • Strong working knowledge of People technology ecosystems, including Workday and ServiceNow, and familiarity with ATS platforms (e.g., Greenshouse) and how workflows, data, and integrations support People processes.
  • Familiarity with AI and automation concepts (e.g., workflow automation, knowledge management, agent assist, analytics) and their application within service delivery or operational environments.
  • Proven systems thinker who can connect strategy, operations, experience, and technology into actionable roadmaps.
  • Experience partnering closely with IT and digital teams to define requirements, evaluate solution options, and prioritize work across platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in high-growth technology environments.
  • Background in Lean, Six Sigma, design thinking, or service design applied to People/HR processes.
