Job Description

Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies — from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups — use Stripe to accept payments, grow revenue, and unlock new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have an enormous amount of work ahead.

That creates a rare opportunity: to help build economic infrastructure for the internet and do some of the most meaningful work of your career.

About the team

Stripe’s Total Rewards team designs the programs that help us attract, motivate, and reward exceptional people around the world. We partner closely with leaders across People, Finance, and the business to build compensation programs that are competitive, thoughtful, equitable, and built to scale.

This team sits at the center of how Stripe grows. The work is highly strategic, deeply analytical, and essential to ensuring our compensation approach supports both our people and our long-term ambitions.

What you’ll do

As a Compensation Program Manager, you’ll help shape and operate Stripe’s global compensation programs at a critical moment in our growth. You’ll work on some of the company’s most important people systems — from annual compensation planning to program design, tooling, process improvement, and cross-functional enablement.

This is a role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working with data at depth, and turning compensation philosophy into programs that are clear, scalable, and impactful. You’ll collaborate across People, Finance, and business teams to ensure Stripe’s compensation programs continue to be a meaningful advantage as we grow globally.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, execution, and administration of Stripe’s annual compensation cycle for employees globally
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform new compensation policies, frameworks, and programs
  • Analyze complex datasets, surface actionable insights, and build tools or models that improve quality, scale, and efficiency
  • Partner with People Operations to configure and enhance compensation-related business processes, rule plans, compensation packages, and equity programs
  • Collaborate with People Programs, Talent Acquisition, People Operations, and Learning & Development to align compensation programs with business goals and talent strategy
  • Develop clear communications and enablement materials to help managers and employees understand Stripe’s compensation programs and philosophy
  • Continually assess compensation programs to ensure they are competitive, equitable, compliant, scalable, and aligned with the outcomes Stripe is driving as a business

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum qualifications for the role. If that’s you, we encourage you to apply. Preferred qualifications are a plus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 6+ years of relevant compensation experience, including designing or managing global compensation programs and processes, ideally in a high-growth technology environment
  • Strong knowledge of compensation best practices, market trends, and benchmark data; international compensation experience preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and deep expertise in Excel and/or Google Sheets, including building and maintaining complex models
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across a range of audiences, including translating complex quantitative insights into practical guidance for leaders and employees
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong knowledge of Workday

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience using AI to build tools, automate manual work, and improve workflow efficiency
  • Exposure to equity administration processes in partnership with Equity Management and/or People Operations teams
